Kiwanis Club of Harrisonburg

Due to Covid-19, the Kiwanis Club of Harrisonburg is meeting via zoom the second Tuesday of each month beginning at 12:30 pm. Although we are monitoring the ability to return to in person meetings, it is not anticipated we will do so until after the first of the year. You are welcome to join our meetings at:


The club has begun meeting virtually on ZOOM. The scheduled for the next several months is as follows:

  • Tuesday, November 10, 2020, 12:30 pm:  Regular Meeting. The program will be on Harrisonburg Community Health Center and the speaker will be Chris Aycock, Director of Development.
  • Tuesday, November 17, 2020, 12:30 pm:  Monthly Board Meeting
  • Tuesday, December 8, 2020, 12:30 pm:  Regular Meeting. The program will be by the Committee for Gemeinschaft Home, a program that provides therapeutic services to nonviolent offenders who have been released or diverted from incarceration
  • Tuesday, December 15, 2020, 12:30 pm:  Monthly Board Meeting

We ask that you continue to support those organizations we do and are listed under Scholarships and Grants. They need our help during this critical time.

Club is recognized as Distinguished Club

At the recent Capital District Mid Year Conference, the Kiwanis Club of Harrisonburg was recognized as a Distinguished Club for 2018-2019. Accepting the award from the Capital District Governor Elect Dennis Baugh is current Club President, Jackson Blair, at their March 3, 2020 meeting. 2018-2019 President Marianne Halterman and Secretary Ron King will be presented the Distinguished pins at a later date.

For the safety of our members, Kiwanis will not meet when the weather is inclement. If Harrisonburg schools are closed due to bad weather, Kiwanis does not meet

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. The Harrisonburg Kiwanis Club is dedicated to serving the local community through various service and fundraising projects. Our club has been in service to our community since 1922. We are part of Kiwanis International, an organization serving children for over 100 years.
