Due to Covid-19, the Kiwanis Club of Harrisonburg is meeting via zoom the second and third Tuesday of each month beginning at 12:00 pm (NOTE NEW TIME). Although we are monitoring the ability to return to in person meetings, it is not anticipated we will do so until after the first of the year. March 8, 2021

For several years the club has supported the Pediatric Unit at Sentara Medical Center. Pictured is Dennis Baugh, club member and District Governor, making our annual presentation in the amount of $1,500 to Janet Wendelken, Senior Development Officer for the RMH Foundation.

February 2, 2021:

Pictured are Lisa Shull, Executive Director or Explore More Discovery Museum, received a $7,000 donation from Kiwanis Club Member and District Governor, Dennis Baugh.  This program is a Signature Project of the club.


The club has begun meeting virtually on ZOOM. The scheduled for the next several months is as follows:

  • Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 12:00 pm: Monthly Club Meeting with a presentation by Capt. Harold Gitau, The Salvation Army of Harrisonburg
  • Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 12:00 pm; Monthly Club Meeting with a presentation by Juan Pablo Berrizbeitia, CEO – Blue Ridge CASA
  • Tuesday, June 15, 2021 – Monthly Board Meeting immediately after Club Meeting

We ask that you continue to support those organizations we do and are listed under Scholarships and Grants. They need our help during this critical time.

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. The Harrisonburg Kiwanis Club is dedicated to serving the local community through various service and fundraising projects. Our club has been in service to our community since 1922. We are part of Kiwanis International, an organization serving children for over 100 years.
