Due to Covid-19, the Kiwanis Club of Harrisonburg is meeting via zoom the second Tuesday of each month beginning at 12:30 pm. Although we are monitoring the ability to return to in person meetings, it is not anticipated we will do so until after the first of the year. You are welcome to join our meetings at:


The club has begun meeting virtually on ZOOM. The scheduled for the next several months is as follows:

  • Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 12:30 pm:  Regular Meeting. The program will be by Sandy An, Development Officer, Kiwanis Children’s Fund.
  • Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 12:30 pm: Monthly Board Meeting
  • Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 12:30 pm: Regular Meeting. The program speaker will be Jennifer Bell, Manager, Harrisonburg Tourism and Visitor Services
  • Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 12:30 pm: Monthly Board Meeting

We ask that you continue to support those organizations we do and are listed under Scholarships and Grants. They need our help during this critical time.

New Members

On December 8, 2020, we inducted two new members into the club. Lindsey Douglas is the Executive Director of the Bog Brothers Big Sisters of Harrisonburg-Rockingham. Capt. Harold Gitau is the new Captain, along with his wife, at The Salvation Army of Harrisonburg.

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. The Harrisonburg Kiwanis Club is dedicated to serving the local community through various service and fundraising projects. Our club has been in service to our community since 1922. We are part of Kiwanis International, an organization serving children for over 100 years.
